Sarrs in CO

Final pics of the year, probably...the winter tarp is over the pools now, and though we've yet to see the first snow I expect it's not far off.

These two plants below look extremely similar to each other, one with a slightly brighter lid while the other has more veins (and might also be a bit more vigorous). I only really want to keep one but they both look so good...

And, 'Leah Wilkerson' finally gave an appropriate pitcher

Though there are still a handful of good traps on plants that haven't died back or been frozen off yet, unlikely I'll get any more photos. It smells terrible under the tarp now because of the sheer number of insects in the traps, and those that haven't started browning from that will probably do so in a day or two.

Way, way late posting the April photos...but the warm spring we've had (minus the annoying typical late frosts) have sent a lot of things into full growth way early

This funky trap got screwed by the frost cover slamming into it...sadly, was also the most colorful one it's thrown out this year so far

The remnants of my 'Waccamaw' are tiny...but fully colored this round

The newest pitchers aren't as colored, assuming because of the screwy spring weather we've had...but the smaller first ones are now solid crimson outside and yellow inside.

Been so, so stinking busy and burnt out the past couple months, and things still aren't picking up enough to fix the pace...but the plants have been loaded with showy traps

Was most thrilled about how this has been coloring up...and then wacky spring/summer weather drained the color out of the majority of plants somehow so they just look greenish at this point

Except for this plant. This one is still wildly veined

Couple of the most impressive things have been these two siblings;

Actually got divisions off them already; nicknamed this thing "The Mouth" for obvious reasons

Part 2 shortly...

Another one I'm watching closely.

Opens like you gave 'Waccamaw' the ruffled lid and throat blotch, then ages solid purple

Another plant I just repotted yesterday actually and got several chunks off of

And what looks like what I can use for a 'Slack' substitute :)

The "false ornata" that definitely has something else mixed in besides flava, but does a decent imitation

I succeeded in sprouting out two x crispata; this one is bigger, and bright lemon yellow...
S. flava maxima x psittacina okefenokeensis Santa Rosa Co. FL by Hawken Carlton, on Flickr
While this one is much smaller and slower...but has this wild pale cream appearance throughout

Hasn't even flowered yet and it stole the "tallest trap" title so far this year. At least 22 inches (which is enormous in my dry air)
