Sarracenia watering?

I just got a sarracenia but I don't know how to water it. Should I place it in a tray or water it from the top?
Any help would be appreciated

Just keep it on the tray system year long

'Cept don't keep it soaking wet in winter, just moist.

I water mine from the top and let the water run through into the tray. When the soil starts to look dry on top I water again. During the winter I don't leave as much water in the tray. Maybe a ¼" rather than 1".
