Send in the Clones
Up for bid from PetFlyTrap.com is one Sarracenia 'Lady Bug'. This cultivar was produced by Dr. Larry Mellichamp at UNCC, and is one of a series of hybrids which most growers call the 'Bug Series'. It produces pitchers which are fairly short and recline all around the growing point. The hoods resemble snorkels in our opinion, making this a unique plant. Plant will be shipped potted in a three-inch pot, so it's ready to go when it arrives!

Bidding starts at $10; but PetFlyTrap.com will pay the shipping. That will keep the winner from having to wait for a separate shipping payment to arrive.

Incidentally, there is very little time (read practically none!) for me to surf the Net, so questions posted on this thread may take some time to get replies. If you have pressing questions relating to this item, please e-mail me directly at orders(at)petflytrap.com, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Good Growing!

Mike

Here's a pic (sort of) of the UNCC Lady Bug plant in its bog at UNCC, taken last Friday:

LOL...thanks Grumpus for the pic; however, the plant that I am auctioning is already producing some nice pitchers, and looks a LOT nicer IMHO.

Mike

Here's a picture of mine. It's the one that's more in the center of the pot. The dark maroon one is S. x Cobra Nest. Not the best picture, but should give you guys an idea of what it looks like.

S. x Lady Bug is a great plant. I find it to be quite vigorous. I was able to make divisions this year (the pic is from last year).
