Sarracenia in Kula, Maui

S. flava I started in June of 2008 blooming. Thinking about using their pollen to cross with a copper top flava I got form KT

Not really. Not crazy anyway. But there are times i want to move to the mainland when i look at the costs of groceries and gasoline, interstate travel. just no jobs for me there either.... Might have to seriously look into growing plants for sale on the mainland....

You're Sarracenia are so beautiful!.. Just out of curiosity; how do you get all of them to go dormant where you live?

Have a climate not to different from capetown south africa. So oddly a mild temperate climate. Enough cold and day length changes for many stone fruits like plums peaches and so forth. Even apples persimmons. But no hard freezes or killing frosts.

Kula...those are among the most beautiful pics and pots I have seen. Sooo clean. very very nice. wow!! An indoor area especially with perlite and peat is almost impossible to keep that clean. great job!

I was going to try leucophylla x alabamensis! You beat me to it.... That just means I have to find a very special leuco to use..... Oh, idea for yours! Once the mature, cross them with S. rurba "Ancestral", also known as "Georgia Fall Line Sand Hill". The veining on that plant would be insane!
