NASC Auction will open in...

Read the rules first :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!

Sarracenia from Seed!!

When the NASC did the Pensacola rescue I found these seeds inside the pitcher of a S. leuco. Ozzy told me they were not seeds so I didn't put them in the bag for the NASC. I just threw them in this pot when I got home.

This is how many are left in the pot. I took 112 out and put them in pots. I added the moss last week because the rain keeps washing the soil out of the pots.

The trays will be left outside this winter but the pot will go in a greenhouse.

Nice moorei, that runs on par with 'Blood Moon'! The purp hybrid is a great color, though I find it odd that I don't really see any of the flava or oreo in it at all....

Thank you HC and Heather! the Brunswick Beauty hybrid shows zero traits from oreo and flava. Still some really nice looking seedlings.

Couple more hybrids from Vic.

Thought I'd update on one of my seedlings: what seems to be turning out to be S. 'Scarlet Belle' x swaniana, judging from colors and shape, and what was in flower at the time....

Alright, have a couple more pics to post:
typical S. purpurea venosa burkii

A couple different clones of S. purpurea venosa burkii x rubra jonesii

And I know it's not a Sarracenia, but it's a relative, it's seed-grown, and this is the first mature pitcher it's putting out for me! Darlingtonia "Mountain Form" :)

Just sowed sedds of S. [ (x Willisii) x Oreophila 'Sand Mountain' ] <------- plant in my avatar
