Plants are appreciating the new highland set-up

Here is my new-ish highland set up:

It was designed by me, but my dad built it for me... :P (What a great dad :D )

It is a tube thing with a fan on the end of it, and an opening for the ultrasonic humidifier. Pretty simple, but also pretty effective. I only keep it on at night, and the plants directly in front of the fan get down to about 17 - 18 degrees celsius. The plants further away from the fan only get to 19 - 20 degrees. In the daytime, the terra is 23 - 26 degrees.

So, I think the temp drop is pretty good. At least it's better than nothing. :P

All of the plants in the set-up are doing well. My heliamphora heterodoxa from CPgeek that I almost killed but revived, has made a beautiful, red pitcher with a well developed nectar spoon. Sorry for the not-so-great pics... I'm soooo tired. -_-

And my royal truncata seems to be making larger leaves and nicer pitchers...

Also, the D. schizandra from Hal is doing pretty good, considering the humidity is only around 60 - 70%. The other one in the wamer temps and high humidity seems to be very, very slowing, dying. :P I'll have to move it somewhere else.

Here are some more plants that are doing better too:
H. minor from Pet:

H. minor (AT form) from CPgeek (This is another survivor of the massacre of 2010)

Truncata from Keehn's for free. I'm excited to see what the next pitcher looks like.

Thanks for looking. I'll have many more pics in the spring, when everything will hopefully have lots of big healthy pitchers and large 'dewy leaves. :D

Awesoooome
Love the schizzy but it looks like she loves you so "I can't believe my own damn bad luck that you found her first" *goes and cries* :)
