Hi guys

Great photos of well grown plants. Lovely colours. I grow a mystery form of P. agnata at the moment, and I considered the plant most likely to be P. agnata "CSUF". I received the plant as a small plantlet and it is still rather small (was pulled at the end of winter and only now producing summer growth and putting on size). I considered it likely to be this based upon leaf shape and colour, but a flower will be required for identification. Here is what it looks like.

After looking at your photos, I have a couple of questions. Both plants look very 'hairy' on the edge of the leaves, or are these very long stalked glands? I thought I read somewhere that P. agnata "CSUF" has glands on both sides of the summer leaves. Is this true? I understand one of the best ways to ID this plant is by the smell of its flowers. Have you noticed this?

Thanks in advance.

Matt.

Hi Jim. I have doubts about your plant above being P. agnata. Be weary.

I agree. P. agnata doesn't have upturned margins.

Edit: btw, it's "wary", not "weary". Weary means tired (or something like that)

 At that size, it could be anything.

I have a P. 'Titan'. It's only about 4 inches across, so far.
