Odd Genlisea Traps

I decided to take some trap cuttings of G. hispidula today, and noticed something a bit strange.

The plant is producing one-armed traps on one side, and normal two-armed traps on the other. I checked and am certain I didn't simply snap the arms of some of them. There are small "stumps" where the other arm failed to develop.

There's nothing odd going on here. Most of the traps branch off but some do not. I've noticed this on every one of my Genlisea plants.
