New name for N. lowii

Hello,

welcome back Rob, hope you had a nice time here in Germany and in the UK. I do think Christian and Johannes Marabini are head by head in having the best Nepenthes collection over here. Luckily those two have both big greenhouses and are interested in plants outgrowing my terrarium

So it seems we all do have our "fertilizer"-coming-out today

I also tried Osmocote with some of my plants and wasn't too impressed. As Tony said, different growing conditions yield different results. The following pictures show the two N. merrilliana back in may and by now. The right plant is the "osmocote" plant with six pellets submerged in the soil.

N. maxima, left plant with Osmocote:

Different effects for 2 different plants!

Merrilliana has a dramatic effect on it when Osmocote is utilized.

Maxima has no effect with Osmocote. In fact the non-fertilizted Maxima on the left in the 2nd weblink is bigger than the fertilzed one by the looks of it to me!
