The soil looks a little bit too dense and wet for most nepenthes, they generally like more open and airy soil because root rot can set in much more easily in wet conditions. Adding aggregate (pumice, perlite, etc.) or using live sphagnum (which is much more open and fluffy than dead sphagnum) would probably be a good idea.
No way that is a ventricosa, I have one about the same age, leaf shape is totally different. The leaves of mine are far wider to their length than that, and get wider towards the ends.
