mysyery garden plant..weed or non-weed?

We have these plants coming up in one small part of the garden..
we cant tell if they are weeds or not!

they dont fit the general weed look from the rest of the weedy yard,
and they seem unique to this one area, which makes me suspect they arent weeds but might be something flowery..but we havent a clue what they are..can anyone ID these guys?

(we just moved in last summer, so this is our first spring in this house.)

update!
just in case anyone happens to stumble across this thread in years to come..

The verdict is in!
they are NOT "four o' clocks"!

they have been officially classified (by me! ;) as weeds, and have all been ripped out.

they have TINY black flowers..yes, black flowers.
about 1/4 inch across.
they are a climbing vine, I saw them growing all along the Erie canal trail.

Turns out they are "black swallow wort"..
not even close to four o' clocks, except in initial looks.
similar leaf pattern.

here are four o' clocks:

and here is the Black swallow wort, what we had:

they did a good job of pretnding to be four o' clocks!
but in the end, they couldnt keep up the disguise..

thanks,
Scot
