Mystery Drosera

nepenthes gracilis

Nepenthes Specialist
Hey everyone this Drosera was labeled D.Capensis but it looks SIMILAR to D.Adelae EXCEPT the leave bases ar too far away from the stem. Any ideas? Is it Capensis? It is the one on the left, I also put it next to Adelae (which is on the right

) for convience in comparing.

No, Lowe's. It doesn't seem to be an Adelae though. It's leave bases are too far away from the stalk. i have another Adelae about that size and it has it's leaves right up to it's stalk.

Another Adelae eh? Good I like Adelae's but I wish it was a Capensis as I don't have one yet

That mystery sundew of yours could probably just be a deformed Cape sundew or a new species .

I would do that except my VFT's aren't in the greatest shape with the way the sun has been, no sun! Darn, I wish it would come out for about 3 weeks!!! Then everything would be great and healthy!!! Check out my post in the Sarracenia forum about "My new situation" Also here is a picture of my only healthy VFT

Your healthy venus flytrap in that picture looks like it's telling you to divide the rhizome .

Hey no need to post a picture of my unhealthy ones as I have already setup a trade for some D.Capensis from a friend. Thanks anyway though!

Looks like a D. Aladae, I also got one from Lowes. At first I thought it was a Capensis, but later as it grew it turned out to be a D. Aladae.
