Read the rules first :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!

My Sarracenia minor is producing really curved pitchers. What's going on?

My Sarracenia Minor seemed to grow really fast when I got it a few weeks ago. It arrived about two weeks ago and instantly shot up 2 new leaves. However, the leaves are starting to curl over. What's going on? Is it just transplant shock?

Who knows? The first few pitchers of the season are sometimes funky looking on many Sarracenia.

There's a difference between "early in the season" and "the first pitcher of the season." ;)

Also, if they keep doing it for a while, maybe they need more light?

They receive about 4-6 hours of direct sunlight a day

I didn't look at your picture well enough... It looked like indoor lights, but I was obviously wrong. lol :-(

Well! looks like you have the same issue as me ahmad...My minor also made a curved pitcher. We'll see how they turn out :)

At least its not like one of my S. minor clone's pitchers.... they are really thin and fall over all the time. It really sucks.

They normally grow like that. They'll straighten up and fatten up - don't worry :-D

Flowers don't drain energy in sarracenia by the way. They're not like VFTs.

Flowers drain energy from VFT?!?! Don't tell mine that LOL

Well, they tend to have a break from growing traps whilst flowering. I suspect it's to do with them having to readjust their growth points to resume trap growth, rather than there being an energy drain.

The energy the flower creates from photosynthesis more than covers the energy needed to grow it.

They look fine to me! Mine sometimes get so curled the look like a nep tendril, but they eventualy look fine. And dont be so worried about the flowers, its what plants wanna do. :) If it really would kill your plant, it wouldnt make it in the first place. Good luck!
