Flytraps would definitely get tired of all the false triggers. I"ve also heard they don't like to eat beef very much either. I'm sure the same would go for pasta, fish, chicken, and anything else that may be served there....
On a good day, a carnivorous plant will catch maybe 2 or 3 insects. The average female insect, on the other hand, lays about 50 bazillion eggs at one time. So, even the most ravenous carnivorous plant won't really make a dent in the insect population!
