Mikefallen13's Drosera photothread

mikefallen13

Mr. veitchii
I decided to start this thread since I have recently become obsessed with sub-tropical dews. I'll update this as often as I can especially if something particular catches my eye. Dont mind some of the sad looking dews, most are new arrivals and haven't had time to acclimate yet.

The set-up (I think this will work much better than the aquarium I was going to use)

Not so sure the paradoxa will thrive in that media, or with these sub-tropicals. Petiolaris dews are happiest in a sandy peat, standing water, and piping hot temps. From my experience anyways.

pardoxa is one of the easiest petiolaris of the bunch and can take lower temperatures than the rest of the complex, and can survive even brief periods down to the mid 40s according to kulamauiman's experience. that being said---yours looks like it's going into nap mode. you should probably take a look over here:

everything else looks good. happy growing.

Me thinks its time for an update!

Yeah, I'm really happy about the tenuis he sent a bonus unrooted cutting (the one without a growth point) along with the rooted one. The rooted one is also starting to pitcher!

My venusta from Dionae is flowering, too! It should open the first flower in 2 days or so. Nice little collection.
