My apologies in advance for being blunt but allowing a cat to be free-roaming is potentially damaging to local wildlife (and imho - is wrong). There have been numerous studies showing the impact on wildlife of both feral cats and domestic cats which are allowed to roam.
I dunno, I figured since my cat loves to sleep on my bed, couch and even on me sometimes I'm not letting him outside. Don't want to deal with dirt and potential parasites he may catch.
