Hi all,
I wanted to share photos of a few of my plants.

Some of the babies…
N. villosa

Another N. edwardsiana
<a href="http://imgur.com/QHaVlUR"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/QHaVlUR.jpg?1" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

N. lowii
<a href="http://imgur.com/FEy4HPt"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/FEy4HPt.jpg?1" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

N. ephippiata
<a href="http://imgur.com/XBAqlT6"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/XBAqlT6.jpg?1" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

Finally getting some basals on the N. ampullaria Brunei Red x Harlequin

N. ampullaria Spotted Brunei
<a href="http://imgur.com/SZi6e1a"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/SZi6e1a.jpg?1" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

A not so giant N. rafflesiana Giant
<a href="http://imgur.com/5ruNZum"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/5ruNZum.jpg?1" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

And a few others…
N. burkei x hamata
<a href="http://imgur.com/pPVTFHx"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/pPVTFHx.jpg?1" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

A very stressed N. hamata. I had it in a tank that got tons of humidity, but didn’t give it enough of a temperature drop. The leaves kept getting smaller, but it kept putting out pitchers, so I thought it was ok, but then it put out these two tiny leaves with no pitchers. I built a new highland space that gets 75F days and 55F nights. It was getting too much light, resulting in the burned leaves, but it seems to be doing better now.

N. sanguinea, the first carnivorous plant I purchased

N. ventricosa

Very nice. I always liked the red nectar that N. Sanguinea produces

Thanks! It's a very juicy one. I have a few different N. campanulata crosses that are the same way, just not as red.

What is your setup for the ultra highlands? Amazing plants, know you just have to wait for them to mature!

Thanks! I have two HL/UHL setups. The first is a small wine cooler that I posted about here Ultra Highland Setup

Comparing the photos in that post to the ones above, it strikes me that the UHLs have already made a lot of progress in the past 6 months.

I also built another setup out of a beverage merchandiser that I found on Craigslist. It's built on the same principle as the wine cooler, just on a larger scale. This is a terrible picture of it, but you get the idea. Right now I only have my N. ephippiata and N. hamata in there, so I have tons of room for more plants!

Thank you for the in-depth reply. I was looking at chest freezers to do an ultra highland for the same purpose. But alas, my pockets are not the deepest, and now I shall frequent craigslist, waiting

I'd hold that "rafflesiana" suspect until it matures; even from a young age that species has relatively glabrous leaves that are far more lanceolate in shape. Yours has pretty rounded leaves and looks like it may at least have ampullaria hybridization going on.

Sorry for the delayed response, I just saw your post now. Thanks for the info. I wouldn't be surprised if the "raff" was something else. I got it in a very unimpressive eBay transaction. The plant I received was clearly not the one in the photo. The one listed by the seller was larger and I received two smaller seedlings in one pot, the larger of which was DOA.

How old is your ventricosa? I think I have one but it's between ventrata(curse the lying websites!) Is it an upper pitcher? Very unique shape.

Happy Growing,

Dillon

I've had it for ~4 years, but it was already a good size when I got it. It is forming upper pitchers.

A few more photos of my collection. I got a decent camera a few weeks ago so I've been trying to take more pictures. I've posted a lot of these to Instagram but wanted to include here as well.

Very nice. You definitely have a lot of hamata hybrids.

Awesome plants! Your villosa looks great! If you don't mind me asking, how do you grow it? Just typical HL conditions or do you have to do anything special for it?

Thanks! I'm growing it in a wine cooler terrarium under LEDs. 75 degree days, 55 degree nights, humidity never lower than 75%, but usually in the 80s-90s. I have previously posted details of the setup here: Ultra Highland Setup

I keep the villosa's media a bit dryer than my other neps because I have read it is prone to rot.

Very nice. You definitely have a lot of hamata hybrids.

Thanks! Lol, I guess I do, I like them toothy!

That "Werewolf Spawn" is really wild looking. How is the care on the mirabilis x hamata? It seems like it really retains a lot of hamata features.

I really like the Drosera meristocaulis. I thought the baby Sarracenia was a Heliamphora.

I'm rather impressed how much the teeth are showing through on the globosa x hamata cross; also don't think I've heard of that one before either. It like lowland conditions, or more intermediate?
