Is my purp healthy?

I've noticed that since the sun tends to hit only some parts of the pitchers, those parts get colored up much quicker than the parts that don't get hit by the sun, and sometimes those parts don't color up much at all. Is that ok?

Thats normal,the plants natural pigment, anthocyanin (red maroon color) will be more prounounced in colder weather, and sunny days (fall/early winter)

Think of it like getting a tan on one side of you'r body. You'll still be healthy, just ugly

Lol, ok. That's good. Just kinda maybe one more question. What do I do with the live sphagnum in my pot when I put my purp in the attic or garage for dormancy? Will it be ok if I just leave it in the pot?

Leave it, it'll start growing in the spring.
