is it normal for a cut off leaf to turn yellow?

Well I have a leaf that has been cut half way off and it is turning yellow..is it to much light?
other than that the plant is growing fast and making new leafs.

If I am understanding correctly, I assume it's because it's halfway cut off and is dying.

Sounds right to me, if its growing ok when it blackens u can cut it off if its close to the soil to prevent it from rotting

Yeah,it sounds like the plant decided to "ditch" the damaged leaf. If it's one of the lower leaves on the plant, it's perfectly normal.
