My name is Dan Ryan, I live in Sarasota, FL, with my wife and two daughters. My six year old, Tiffany, recently purchased a book about carnivorous plants from a school book fair, and decided that she wants to be a botanist. In an effort to nurture this very noble ambition, I began reading everything I could find on carnivorous plants and ordering some online. We've since starting growing about 15 plants in our backyard, but, admittedly, I have to say the biggest growth was in my curiosity. I've read hundreds of posts on this forum and continue to learn more every night. My special appreciation and gratitude to those of you willing educate and share your experience, knowledge, and patience with the rest of us.
