Free aechmea serrata - bromeliad

No, it isn't carnivorous, but the serrata in its name means serrated and this is a large, blood-thirsty plant.  You won't see it catch a fly, but you can watch as it dismembers friends and family.  Or, if you have more space than I do, you'd keep it away from traffic and have a big, eye-catching plant.  And, if you get your eye too close, it might just do that.  I'd keep it if I had a place for it, but I don't and will give it to anyone who wants it in exchange for $5 postage.  And, if you're the lucky recipient, I'll toss in a Tillandsia lindenii for lagniappe.

I've tried searching but I can't find any info on how to care for this plant. Anything you can tell me about it?
