OMG I wish I had flowers already! I just cut off all the dead pitchers yesterday and no signs of life yet out of any Sarrs.

Very nice Sarracenia. I have 3 so far, but all are developing and not open like yours. Dex, I agree, it does look like a gigantor flower.

LOL! I've been cutting mine off--the ones I don't plan to collect seed from. I do have a s. alata flower that is about to open, however...and a flava cuprea that flowered both spring, summer and fall...but no flowers for 2011 yet

yes, the D. Colossus flowers are about as large as any I've seen. Next time I visit the greenhouse, i'll take a measurement.
