I just kept the soil wet with good ventilation!
Didn't even feed it with anything in the green house!

Ha thx,its a Argentine Side-Necked Turtle, Phrynops hilarii :)

I'm blown away by the color of this thing. Mind if I ask it's origin? I know I won't be able to get my paws on one from this side of the pond.. just wondering.

Mine is the "vigorous" clone (provenance: D. Hastings), which is just an average selection with (possibly) faster growth than the standard, and it gets excellent color in natural sunlight:

It darkened considerably since this photo; I need to take a new one to illustrate. My soil mix is 40% peat, 40% coarse builders sand (crushed quartz), 10% fine fir bark and 10% horticultural charcoal. Otherwise it gets nothing special except clean water and as much sun as it wants.
