The dead pitcher is a N. ventrata. Definately not N. ventricosa. I grow both. The ventrata is a foolproof plant. Grow great, even in the harshest conditions. I have an N. ventrata "Japanese Red" that is about a 6' vine and produces 8" pitchers on every leaf. Love this hybrid!

Yea, i'm in agreement with macamus. The pitcher looks very much like a ventrata.

Thx for sharing the pics :). How's the madagascariensis liking its new house?

errr the two new tendrils are green and red rather than brown like the ones from shipping.
they seem to be doing ok with intermediate temps....average of 70-75ºF humidity from 70-90%
