Drosera peltata seeds?

Lil Stinkpot

Lucky Greenhorn
My drosera peltata bloomed, and made three seed pods. The funny thing is that I didn't pollinate the flowers, nor were there many pollinators in the GH. But there might have been something suitable in there.

Before I go all nuts, I'd like to make sure there are actual, viable seeds, instead of "duds."

If these are good seeds, as I suspect, then I'll make a FT thread in the trading post. :awesome:

Well...they look like viable seeds to me....shaped right, and nice and dark....my guess it that they are good.

John Brittnacher created an excellent page on Drosera self-incompatibility over here. In it he notes "Apparently some populations of D. peltata are self-incompatible." which I take to mean that most populations are self-compatible and yours likely selfed on it's own (and are viable).

Well f*dge! Dory was cleaning, and he saw the ramekin full of seeds airing out and.......

The seeds are gone. Unless they will germinate in the sewer and mutate into a giant, slobbering, Dory-eating beast, they are gone. I was gonna trade them for something.
