D. X california sunrise SASE

I have some drosera california sunrise seeds that does great in hot, dry conditions. Great plant for beginners just throw it outside with some sarrs and it grows like a champ!

Each of the 4 flowers has about 50+ seeds

Important note: yes those sand grain size things on your finger are the seeds. Most sundew seeds are small but they sprout like weeds! These wont look like the actual cultivar but will look similar.

I'm guessing you mean Drosera filiformis 'California Sunset'

Peter D'Amato writes in The Savage Garden (1998 Ten Speed Press edition page 138) "Since Drosera x 'California Sunset' is a cultivar, it should only be reproduced through leaf cuttings and the seed should be destroyed."

Do not call any of the seed offspring D. 'California Sunset' unless it exactly matches the registered cultivar description and standard photograph.

Omar, your seed envelope was shut (probably because of the heat) but I was able to get it open and send it off.

I never heard of CA Sunrise only sunset. Since it is a hybrid between filliformis Floriida Giant and Tracyi seeds the seedlings won't be the same as the mother plant

Must be another labeling error from the nursery I got it from several years ago.

To all seed ppl: these seeds need stratification just like the mother plant needs dormancy.
