Brom Crash Course

I received this brom from a houseplant giveaway. I washed off the trichomes not realizing that they were supposed to be there. I want to do my best to keep it alive, so what tips can you guys give me other than "don't wipe off the trichomes on the new leaves"?

Keep it in as much light as phalaenopsis orchids (indirect), pour water into the center of the urn when you water it, and don't leave the roots sitting in water so it doesn't rot from the bottom up.

Most broms do not use their roots for water or nutrient absorbtion. Instead, they are used only to hold onto a branch or rock. So, with this in mind, you really shouldn't need to apply water to anywhere except the "vase" of the plant.
