I am making a road trip from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Montreal, Canada today. I was wondering if any of you knew about good carnivorous plant sites that I might be able to stop by and check out! I would love to see some!
Detour to London to see the Sifton bog? I know Drosera are present, but I am not certain if Sarracenia are.
Otherwise, if you are driving on smaller highways on your way through the Canadian shield, look out to the sides of the roads for Sphagnum bogs that almost always contain Drosera.
In Montreal, there is a small display case of CPs at the Montreal botanical gardens, along with some S. purpurea in the First Nations garden.
About 20 minutes north of HWY 401, half way between Bellevile and Kingston there is a nice little nature reserve that has a boardwalk over top of a bog an a fen http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/menz.html
