Nice lime! This is about as far as it got here... hopefully there will be a full eclipse sometime soon which will really be exciting!

Some test pics... I tried to get the glare of the eclipse of show.. partial success except for the giant glare of distraction in the middle >:(

Ya those two are possibly mercury and venus since venus is close to transiting the sun in a few days which is a lot rarer then this (hopefully can get some pics uploaded of that too)

Alright everyone! Here is my whole progression as the day went by. The last one is when some trees were starting to interfere with my view, but cool anyway! Each is clickable if you wish to see it larger. Enjoy :)

Not going to read this whole thing. :mwahaha:

My experience: After seeing this thread, I looked at the sun and it was really bright. There was nothing in front of it to block it from shining in my eyes. I was very disappointed and couldn't see much. :)

You'll only be able to notice the sun getting darker during a full eclipse when all you can see are the fiery edges of the sun and all the plasma spewing off of it. Hopefully we'll get one of those soon ;).

I missed most of it as it was overcast. But the clouds did allow me to see for just a few minutes and I was able to get a shot. It peaked at about 90% in this area but it was obscured at that point.
