I've got an unrooted cutting of N. 'Whisper' (Striped) for trade. If it roots before it trades, I'll have to reconsider what I'm looking for.. or if I even want to let it go. It's been in the rooting tank for 2 days and is still looking good. Cutting was taken by me from my own plant.
It is...
Here is a game of "Where's Waldo?" with a small pot of four even smaller Nepenthes villosa seedlings -- germinated back in late March, after some fifty-three days (from seed collected in the Fall of 2010). Which of the four do you suppose will be demonstrably female?

I set up a simple table with most all Nepenthes species broken into the five common categories; ultra-lowland, lowland, intermediate, highland, and ultra-highland. I have based the placement on altitudinal distribution mostly. I also have temperature range at the top of each category.
Maybe...

Still have a lot to learn about this camera, but here's my first test run with it.

So I'm redoing one of my tanks.. which means I can offer up the LFS I was using in it. It is RIDDLED with all kinds of goodies! Mostly rotunds by the 100's.. but there are also some misc. utrics (nothing common), and some Stylidium debile.
As for the LFS itself, it's mostly red/crimson LFS. But...
Just finished off most of the neps on my want list. So I guess it's time to start working on the drosera section. If you have any plantlets, leaf cuttings, or tubers to spare of any of these, please PM me if you'd like to work out a trade.
If you have something that's not on my list, but feel...
Here's some quick pics before i go to work. I'll post some macro shots of the pitchers when i get home. Hope you all enjoy. I got all the plants from Hawiian Botanicals out in Vancouver. I'm very happy and impressed with the health of the plants as well as how awesome they look :)...
Hi guys, I'm a long time lurker, and recently-registered community member. I think that this distinction would go to:
1) Nepenthes Edwardsiana
2) Nepenthes Villosa
3) Nepenthes Hamata (hairy red)
4) Nepenthes Hamata
5) Nepenthes Macrophylla
6) Nepenthes Rajah
7) Black Truncata
Does anyone know...
The nep bug has hit hard again.
Anyone have spares of N. chaniana, N. campanulata, N. burbidgeae, or N. jamban? They don't need to be large at all.
EDIT: Additionally, I have found a liking to N. burkei, N. stenophylla, and the oh-so-out-of-this-trading-league N. glandulifera and N. villosa...
It seems like hairy red Nepenthes hamata is all the rage... which one would you rather have?
I like the toothy Nepenthes because it's just really neat that a plant can end up looking like a shark's mouth ... Nepenthes villosa is slow as molasses, Nepenthes macrophylla is a pouty plant for me...
Here's pics!
