Here's a shot of my P. primuliflora blooming today after spending the winter in my garage and basement. I guess I can now claim to have successfully overwintered it in my minibog containing other temperate CPs.

A while back I got a primuliflora, and about a month ago I noticed it had plantletts and the mother plant went down hill and eventually died. But I have two plantletts that are doing well and have grown quite a bit!
I removed the mother plant from the one plantlett it was attached to...the...
I was plucking old, dead leaves from a plant and accidentally pulled a live one from the base. For the lark of it I placed it in media, expecting it to rot with a couple days. A week has gone by and the leaf is still green. So perhaps it may actually produce a new plant, like a Mexican butterwort.
So it was happy until the weather outside changed and apparently the windowsill became too cold (im guessing) and now the main plant has turned brown and the new top growth is shriveling and turning brown. :-(
The babies that it send out are still alive, there are 6 of them now.
Not sure...

I'm Kevin and I live in New Albany, Indiana (which is in the southern part of Indiana). I've been growing carnivorous plants for about four months or so. My love affair began as a child, when I massacred many venus flytraps. About four months ago, I decided to pick up a purple pitcher plant from...
I got my first Ping from Lowes today and I'm guessing it to be a Primuliflora. It's in pretty bad shape. It was out of the soil and sitting completely on the piece of plastic, and looked like it had no roots. A few of the leaves turned were brown and dead But the rest were still green and there...
Here are some of my Drosera and Pings. Nothing too special.

Ibought a Ping from Lowes and it is most likely this one. I've managed to get it out of the plastic box and to have it growing without a lid or plastic bag over it. Are there any tips you all can give me concerning its care? I heard it's a little tempramental. I'm growing it indoors in...
