I have attempted to create a list of all the known and currently recognised species of Nepenthes. Of course this list is by no means complete or even exhaustive, but it does give a rough idea of the number of species known. Please let me know if I have missed any species out, or if you have...
Lots of new growth now really starting to show up! There are some lowlanders in here like I promised to Flip side too!
N. northiana- finally showing signs of beauty after it got dried out and overheated to the point of almost death!
N. macrovulgaris- a quite uncommon species to see in...
I want to trade a very large Pinguicula species (similar to moranensis) for any good nepenthes (bongso, ovata, or sibuyanensis maybe) or near mature sarracenia. You can see pics of the same species on my website, and this one is almost the same size. I think this is seriously on of the largest...
I'm trying to decide which one to get. Could you please tell me which one gets bigger, grows faster, is tougher, or just the best. I've grown a bongso before, and it quickly became one of my favs. before it met its demise... Thanks, apreciate it !
Spring is here:
N. carunculata/bongso
A very happy N. inermis
N. maxima dark x N. maxima sulawesi
A very nice N. spathulata
Big N. ovata....I'm a proud pappa!

N. glabrata
N. ramispina
N. x Miranda upper
N. eymae

I took a pic of my newly opened N. ovata pitcher. I love the colors when they just open. As they age, they turn dark purple like the one in back.

the little babies cost me a whopping 75 cents. they are (allegedly) a mammillaria and a crassula ovata var. 'hobbit'.
but seriously... if they had developed the 'hobbit' in the past ten years, how much do you want to bet they would have named it the 'Shrek plant'? ;)
EDIT: heheh would be nice...
are these guys related? i have both that opened their first pitchers for me this week. one thing that popped in my head that if your took overal color and color patterns out of the equation the only major difference between the two was the fact that the veitchii is "fuzzy" and the bongso isnt...

Hi all,
Hope your holidays are pleasant ones. I have been very busy re-organizing my greenhouses and have come up with some nice plants for trade. Unfortunately I do not have any photos so you will have to use your cp knowledge to help you out. I am looking for anything not on my grow list...
Well, after six weeks of home-remodelling exile, I'm back in the dusty house. My plant-sitter was, well, she tries hard. But she just can't get enough water on the plants, and some dry out. Admittedly, it's hard to get enough water from my little R/O tank to water everything. Sadly, I lost one...
I have what I think might be some type of fungus (or something else) on some of my Nep leaves.
It ONLY effects the oldest leaves on the plant that have no pitcher anymore. It is also ONLY on a few plants and does not appear to be impacting on new growth.
At first I passed it off as simply the...
