Hi All,
Anyone in New England that would like to come to the meeting, PM me you e-mail address. I will send you the particulars.
One thing to note: One of our memebers runs the greenhouses in their lifescience building, and he is going to be leading a tour - I went last year on this tour, and...
I have a female Nep northiana x veitchi that flowered months ago. At the NECPS show in October, Schloaty and I manually pollinated the bottom four flowers with a male N. ventricosa also in flower at the time.
Tonight, I noticed one of the upper flowers (not pollinated by us) was splitting open...

Hey all,
I decided that since my camp got some acclaim at the recent NECPS show (I was offered quite a sum by a rather accomplished grower - insert Schloaty's swollen head here), I would post some pics of it for you to enjoy (read: Schloaty showing off).
The following is the technique used by Wild Bill to protect his plants during the winters of Connecticutt. Perhaps some of you can benefit from his tips:
I'm in Connecticut where we get lots of snow and freezing temps in the winter. Here's what I did last October and it worked very well; only...
Hey all,
We should hopefully have some more support for the organization - I gave out pamflets that PAK supplied for me at the NECPS show.
The word is leaking out...
Even though we had rainy weather both days, the 3rd NECPS Show was a great success.
We had over 300 visitors from far and wide. One couple came from Orlando, Florida just to come to the show - and you should have seen the HUGE Ceph they took home thanks to "Cephmaster" Jeff, or "Jeffalotus" as...
Here is the report on the May NECPS meeting. We visited the UConn greenhouses, which are really incredible. Don't forget to check out the photos at the link near the bottom!
The next NECPS meeting is coming up this Saturday, and is the annual Black Jungle BBQ. If you're not in the NECPS...
On my trip I would love to see Darlingtonia in the Wild. I know the NECPS guys will be jelous as we all raised our hands as to who would kill to see it (we all did). Anyway I can't find anywhere in acceptible range from San Francisco besides the supposedly wonderful stands in Mendocino. If some...

This is from a photo i took at the April NECPS meeting. You can see the entire amazing flava there.

I'm very excited and impressed with how well my new digicam handled the NECPS meeting today, especially since i haven't finished reading most of the manual and hadn't yet figured out how to manually set focus or aperture (or most other things ;) ). It's nice to have too many options rather than...
