........what a Genlisea trap looks like and dont have the Savage Garden, here is one of my lil Genlisea lobata x violacea's i transplanted earlier in the week.
U. tricolor growing below my nepenthes in the excess water. quite happily too.
U. sandersonii to the left sandersonii "blue" to the right
a tiny lil Genlisea violacea x lobata plantlet.it is about 1/3 inch across. i transplanted this guy and his mother last night

I have a Genlisea lobata which has been growing for around a year now. Recently the main plant has been getting smaller with less leaves.
A few new plants have started to pop up in other locations in the pot.
Does this plant typically die back from time to time?

As some people know I just went away for a week.. and when I get back I find that my genlisea lobata x violacea is sorta brownish green.. I know that in good conditions it will get better, but can someone tell me what conditions a genlisea would do really well in? this one has never done really...

It took about a month or two, but my g.violacea cuttings have sprouted. I always heard they were a bit more difficult to take than others (has anyone else heard this?), but the only difference between the violacea and the violacea X lobata is that the V x L didnt take as long to sprout...
