Hi,
I'm from SE Michigan. I just created a bog garden last June, and it has been a real success so far! Last year, I added Sarracenia purpurea, Dionaea muscipula and Drosera rotundifolia. They all did very well.
I am now looking to add other plants, like Sarracenia leucophylla, S. flava, S...

Okay, here is the deal. I have a bunch of stuff to get rid of. Read the rule because I do not have time to hold hands on this one
1) I am not in a mad frantic rush so you don't necessarily have to be either. This is not first come first served. Take your time, check you collections, get your...
Nowadays in the USA, mass produced garden store CPs are pretty basic. Apart from Nepenthes "alata", VFTs, Drosera adelae and already-dead Darlingtonia cubes, you are unlikely to find much in the way of CPs at general garden stores/lowes etc. I have come across some surprisingly rare finds at...

I'm thinking of purchasing a temperate ping to grow outside, and was thinking of a P. macroceras ssp. nortensis, and was wondering what the guidelines for this plant are, such as soil, light water, etc. Would P. grandiflora be easier?
Many thanks,

Hey folks, I'm hoping maybe someone here has a slight obscure lily affliction like me and can give me some tips. Today I picked up a Zephyranthes grandiflora (OCA Z. rosea according to Plant Delights Nursery). It's coming into bloom the already blooming siblings were beautiful but i want to...
I got some neat Aristolochia seed from england this winter and 8 weeks after sowing I've got some cool stuff:
First is Aristolochia maxima.
A rare tree like species with atypical leaves for the genus (they're ovate instead of heartshaped) as with the other ovate leaves tree-like species A...
Hey folks, I just got a huge shipment of seeds from Englands Chiltern Seed Co. and I'm almost done sowing everything on pure shredded LFS in 72 cell Jiffy seedling greenhouses and stacking them ontop of my flourescent fixtures for bottom heat. I was just curious if any of you have experience...
I was looking at the plants I have in the downstair's tenant's window sill and noticed the my P. grandiflora plant isn't exactly there anymore. Instead, I see a tiny green Herschey's Kiss like thing. Upon further investigation, I see 3 of them. Are those gemmae? And why am I not seeing the...
I've taken some photos and I'm just too lazy to post each one in its corelating forum so mods - feel free to move this post wherever you wish.

Hi great masters of Ping growing,
Here in tropical Singapore, I find growing Pings rather challenging as high humidity tends to make Pings melt (at least for me). I know Cindy grows them very well, but she is in a class of her own.
In september, I received hibernacula of Ping. grandiflora...
