Hi everyone,
Today, I received some seeds of U.asplundii-Brazil from the LACPS seedbank. Does anyone have any tips with germinating seeds of this plant? I have not had much luck with the seeds of epiphytic utrics. Maybe the seeds were not fresh enough?

Does anyone have information on Utricularia alpina? I know its epiphytic... and it has enormous pretty flowers that are ALMOST reminiscient of a Heliamphora's...
Does anyone know where I can find some for sale?
Thanks!
I'm wondering which Utricularia can be mounted and grown on a mossy log that has water trickling over it's surface constantly in my tropical vivarium. It can be a cooler temp/alpine species as my vivarium gets rather cool in the winter (down to 65*).
I really enjoy epiphytic plants but I do not...
Hey Jaie and Phil,

Seems like the only genus that you guys left out;)
Epiphytic varieties and others would be nice.
Hi everyone,
Does anyone here have experience growing tropical epiphytic utrics i.e. endresii, quelchii etc. What are the temperatures they like? Do they require a dry winter dormancy? Where can you acquire them?
Most Utric species are terrestrial or epiphytic, and the majority of species in cultivation not aquatic. Most (and maybe all) Genlisea species are also terrestrial. Why then, have they been grouped into a topic about bogs and water gardens?
