    D.regia

Is it normal for D.regia leaves to continue getting smaller? My D.regai is producing smaller and smaller leaves, but it has also produced a offshoot. Also, the leaves have yet to unravel like they should ( the tentacles don't unfold and produce dew). Is their any way to fix this problem? dewy

    D.regia

My D.regia has been growing kinda weird since I received it on April 28,2006. The new leaves unravel like they are supposed to, but the tentacles don't "unfold" like they should. Then, after about 2 weeks the leaf begins to turn black. It is about 6 inches from my grow light, temps around 80-85F...

    D.regia

I am going to get a D.regia in a few months. I have a few questions, though. 1. Does it require dormancy? 2. How much water does it like? 3. And how easy is it to grow? Thanks, dewy

    Crossbreeding

I was searching around PFT and I saw this thread called Drosera X dionaea http://www.petflytrap.com/cgi-bin....dionaea (the thread is about 2 years old, so don't bump it :P)and it interested me. According to Tamlin, it said that a crossbred of D.Regia and Dionaea has been done successfully, the...

    Just a thought

I haven't tried enough species to come to a conclusion but my hypothesis is this: If you can't grow one sundew from a particular area, you probably can't grow the rest from the same area. My experience: D.capensis, the weed, SIMPLY WON'T grow well in Singapore. D.aliciae won't grow. D.regia...

    D. regia

The following pictures are not very clear as I had to take them through the tissue culture bottles. In any case you should be able to make out in some of them the D.regia seeds just starting to sprout.

Hi. A month ago i poted my praty well grown D.regia wich grew a new leaf every week to a new and bigger pot. D.regia germination

From a batch of seeds on peat/sand mix, two germinated.  I removed them and placed them on live sphagnum but lost them to fungus and the humidity being too high. That's was about 2 weeks ago. Since d.regia has a reputation of dying off as a seedling, I left another 2 seeds (not germinated yet)...

    D.regia

My D.regia seeds have sprouted after being planted for 3 weeks! Does anyone have any advice on how to grow this plant correctly? I currently have it in a 1:1 sand:peat mix as suggested by Savage Garden. Apart from that, the book doesn't give much info on the watering, climatic conditions etc in...
