I'm Kevin and I live in New Albany, Indiana (which is in the southern part of Indiana). I've been growing carnivorous plants for about four months or so. My love affair began as a child, when I massacred many venus flytraps. About four months ago, I decided to pick up a purple pitcher plant from...
WooHOOO!! I was up in Lafayette and went to their garden center, where their indoor garden area is just beautiful I think (Orchids that are like 4 feet tall with blooms the size of my palms O.o) So I thought they might have some cool CPs (well at least for an ultrabeginner ;) )
So on the table...
Hello. I just bought a Pinguicula xSethos. I have some questions about it:
1) How big will it get?
2) How often will it flower?
3) The leaves are curling down which raise the plant out of the soil. How do I stop this?
4) How much light should I give it?
5) When do I let it go into it's winter...
How difficult is this butterwort? I'm looking for an exotic looking butterwort, and I found one of these on sale for a good price.
Is it a difficult plant? How dry must it be kept during dormancy? Anything I need to know about it?
Also, what about P. Gypsicola and P. heterophylla? Are those...

My entire collection is dying! Except for my Drosera Binata. My Pinguicula Primuiflora collection is about dead, and my pitcher plants have stopped growing all together. They haven't shot up a new leaf in months.
Indoors, my Nepenthes Ventricosa is in suspended animation (I repotted it a week...
So, I'm in the market for a butterwort. I'm leaving for my college dorm in August, and I would like a butterwort to grow under my lamp (my N. Ventricosa is growing extremely well under it). However, my Nepenthes is getting too big, so I would like a nice butterwort, perferably Mexican. Any...
Hello, I'm new. My name is Ahmad, and I'm ridiculously interested in carnivorous plants. I'm currently in college, but I have been into carnivorous plants since 5th grade. My very first CP was a butterwort (it unfortunately died a few months later).
So....yeah. I'm the new guy. :D

Trying to identify these pings. They haven't flowered yet. Here is the total history:
I purchased them (together as one plant) from Home Depot in July 2007. The label on them identifies them as Pinguicula spp. from Gubers in California. They were a light green when purchased, acclimated...
