Something that is quiet at night, so no barking, hissing, anything!

We just moved this Saturday, to a townhouse within the same town, in Western New York.
My CP collection, minus a couple Petiolaris Complex plants are on the patio of the apartment, which will be adequate for ther balance of the summer and part of the fall. My wife volunteered to find me an...
Junk Science: Light Bulb Lunacy

How much money does it take to screw in a compact fluorescent lightbulb? About $4.28 for the bulb and labor — unless you break the bulb. Then you, like Brandy Bridges of Ellsworth, Maine, could be looking at a cost of...
I was flying my Micro Mosquito in the second bedroom, not usually where I fly it, and noticed that my Leopard Geckos where taking interest in the heli. I thought it was funny so I made this quick video of it.

Greetings from Mid-Michigan!
I’ve been lurking here for a couple months now and thought it a good time to join in on the fray.
I’m a newbie to the CP world. I’ve had VFT’s on and off over the years but always managed to kill them pretty quickly. The store-bought VFT that I have now survived...
A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see the bed
nicely made up and everything neat and tidy.
Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the pillow. It was
addressed, "Dad"
With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter
with trembling hands...

Hello, along with growing CPs i also own a Columbian Tegu, but recently it has been getting really agressive and continuously tries to 'attack' anyone that passes by his living area. Is there a way that i can tame him down any? he's really pretty and soft.
the only problem besides him bieng...
About two weeks ago we started noticing a bug or two flying around our kitchen sink. We didn't think much of it until a few days had gone by and these things became a major pest. Anytime you walk into the kitchen, bedroom, or one of the bathrooms you can see at least 10 or 20 on the...
Lizard Birthing
If you have raised kids (or been one), and gone through the pet syndrome including toilet flush burials for dead goldfish, the story below will have you laughing out LOUD!
Overview: I had to take my son's lizard to the vet.
Here's what happened:
Just after dinner one night...
Anyone got any crate training tips for me? My bf and I adopted a dog from the pound about 2 months ago. She has had quite a history so far and she's only 1. We have to take her everywhere with us because she freaks out when she's alone. That means when we go grocery shopping together, the doggy...
I'm trying to figure out how to do dormancy for my Typical VFT (and my Sarracenia flava "Rugelli"). I'd prefer not to do the fridge method for a variety of reasons, but temperatures go freezing for long periods here and sometimes hit as low as zero, so outside would be a bad idea too.
I'm...

Hey all,
I'm back! Looking for some good highland or intermediate plants that are good for windowsills. There are so many scientific names that I've forgotten a search isnt helping me much. But I'm thinking I want to get an aristolochiodes and then a few more vigorous plants. The kind that like...
Hey! I have had my VFT's in a terrarium for about three weeks now. They are in a perlite-peat moss mixture.
I have started noticing small to medium gnats (they look like a cross between circkets and flies and are a brownish color with wings).
Are they harmful to the VFT's???
Should I worry...
So today I got the OK call on a rental house for me and my roommate to move into. It doesn't have everything we wanted (no garage, kind of small for a three bedroom) but it's better than this tiny apartment and our loud, nosy neighbors. The landlords are super nice and said I could do the...
my wife and i are making an offer on a house. unfortunatly its in town and not EXACTLY what we are looking for but its sitting on a lot and a half so i would have a big yard(big enough for a 8'x8' pond plus a small bog and still have LOTS of room). the back of the house faces south and would be...
I just decided to post this because I always enjoy looking at how other people's plants are progressing. Hopefully others do too!
My Cape Sundews went through a lot the past few months. When I moved in November, I had them away from my window on a tall armoire. I was busy with the new house &...
