What to do with lots of spare sundews.\

Drosera adelae is creating several clones of itself, and a tray full of sphagnum moss had 3 rotundifolia sprout in the past few days, with quite a few more expected to sprout. Dunno where all the seeds are, they just sorta popped up randomly. Anyone want spares once they get larger?

    D. (schizandra x prolifera) x adelae - Is it possible?

Hello folks. I grow Drosera "Andromeda" - schizandra x prolifera. The cross, or at least my plants, shows incredibly hybrid vigor. I've only had this hybrid a short while, say a month and a half, and in this time I've moved. This hybrid hasn't skipped a beat. To my delight, it has doubled in...

    How to separate sundews.

I ended up with 3 adelae and one rotundifolia(?) in one rootball. How to you recommend I separate them into different pots to stop them from crowding?

    D. Adelae (mold on new growth?)

    D. Adelae 6-24-14 by the_bugman_cometh, on Flickr Just wondering if this is mold, or something else (hairs?). It's in pretty bad shape, I think it's almost certainly going to lose most of it's existing leaves. My only form of mold control atm is to manually remove what I can, and spray the...

    Growing outdoors in 9a

Hey all! It's been a while...long story short, I'm moving to a new place here in Gainesville that has some outdoor space and I'm thinking of downsizing my collection (pretty much exclusively Drosera now) to those that can do well outside year round. 9a indicates winters that can get down to...

    D. binata issue

The developing tips of the leaves have been dying off. Not sure what the issue is. Plant did well for me last summer and even all winter long. Actually bloomed for me over the winter. It is located in front of an unobstructed SE exposure sliding glass doors. Last summer I did have it...

    My modest Terrarium

Hi all Built myself a medium sized terrarium about a month ago. So far it seems like the Dorsera I've got in there are loving it. With the exception of my little D. Adelae. For some reason it has turned super red almost black on the tips of it's new growth and produces no dew :-( The humidity...

Looking For Replacement Pings and Sundews, For Trade

I've had a couple "shots in the arm" with pygmy sundew gemmae and other assorted things, but what was once a thriving collection of butterworts is down to just a few. I am also missing a few basic sundews, like D. adelae, anglica, and aliciae. Here's my current grow list. Those with asterisks I...

    Is my sprouting setup suitable?

I planted my first carnivorous plant (flytrap) seeds today and thought I would check with the forum to see if there are any changes I should make to my setup before too much time passes. I am using an old seed sprouting tray with some 3"-ish starter pots inside, filled with 50/50 peat moss and...

    Hello from Oregon

Hi everyone, I'm a fairly new grower having bought my first plant almost a year ago. I currently have 5 sarracenia, 2 flytraps and 2 drosera, one of which was a volunteer in a sarracenia pot. I finally got some grow lights set up so I'm looking to get some tropical plants this year and...
