Yard o' Pings

I've been promising the pics of my Yard o' Pings for the better part of the summer, but I keep forgetting them. This evening I was mowing the lawn and saw the plants and remembered that a bunch of you guys wanted to see them, so here they are! About half of these pics show plants that have already been mowed, but the grass clippings and chopped up pine needles made them hard to see, so I took some pics of plants in which the grass hadn't been cut yet as well. They got all out of order in the uploading. Sorry bout that.

The one that was shot up close is about six inches tip to tip. It's huge for what it is!

Very nice! Are these P. caerulea / P. lutea?

Yes, P. caerulea. :)

I've got about an acre in my front yard that's mowed regularly that has these as one of the most common plants.

Wow cool! Where do you live?

Very cool!

Nice! Wish I was lucky enough to have CPs growing wild in my yard.

That's sweet! Have you tried growing any other CPs in your yard?

There are also three species of Sarr growing native and one type of tiny red sundew. There is a pond that probably has bladderwort like every other pond around here. There is still a large part of the property that hasn't really been explored yet so I don't know what all is there. I'm also considering introducing VFTs.

I didn't realize that P. lutea and P. pumila were also native to my land. I'll need to look more closely this fall to see if I have either of those as well. I suppose it may be easiest if I just skip the next few mowings as they go to flower...?
