When to separate Drosera Seedlings?

DragonsEye

carnivorous plants of the world -- unite!
Okay, skimmed through 10 pages of posts, and tried the search function but didn't find quite what I was looking for (though I have no doubt it's there somewhere). So at what point should Drosera seedlings be separated and transplanted? How big should the buggers be?

I usually let them grow for 3-5 months before separating them. Gives more time for nature to thin out the weaker plants. I'd say when they are at least 1/2 to 1 cm across. But it varies by species.

I have been transplanting them as soon as as 3 weeks after they germinate mainly because I was afraid that they will be overwhelmed by algae slime. D. Indica seedlings that I have transplanted, grew so much quicker than the ones in the pot that they germinated in.
