Watering

i've got 2 question's about my VFT and my Drosera
1st: how often do i have to water them and do i have to go all the way to edge and keep it there or will a small puddle on the bottom do?
2nd: is rainwater a MUST-do in order to keep them alive?

no you can use other water such as low sodium, reverse osmosis and distilled
also just give them a dish of water and they will be fime.
