NASC auction is OPEN!!

Vikings

The Roman Empire was way cooler. I think if they made a football team called the Legions I would be on board... I could dig that.

As a fantasy footballer, I hate the Vikings and thier inability to block for Adrian Peterson. That guy cost me about 400 bucks this year in prize money.

Oh yeah...I love vikings....

The football team or what? If football then no. I'm a Atlanta falcons fan. If history yes i am.

Good one Exo. That is what i thought of first when i looked at the topic of the thread.

I live in the Vikings home state (MN) but I don't pay any attention to that stuff, except what's pressed on me by the news media.

I love real viking stuff though, swords, axes, helmets, off-key bardic hymns, norse mythology, Norwegian black metal...That's entertainment! :D

Love the Vikings! huge fan.

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

The hammer of the gods, will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, and sing and cry, Valhalla, I am coming!

On we sweep with, with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore.

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
from the midnight sun where the hot springs flow,
How soft your fields so green,
can whisper tales of gore, of how we calmed the tides of war,
We are your overlords..

On we sweep with, with threshing oar,
Our only goal will be the western shore..

So now you better stop, and rebuild all your ruins,
for peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing..

That's Kirk Douglas doing his own stunts in the "oar walking" scene. Director Richard Fleischer said he was better than the professional stunt men. The oar broke in the take they used for the movie. Douglas' recovery was so spontaneous they kept the take.
