Very wierd turtle

I was out this weekend about 4 miles into the green swamp. I was in parts that looked like no other human had ever been ther or seen.
I caught a huge slow moving turle. I took this pic, and then my batteries died, so this is the only pic I have of it.

Any ideas what it is?

A type of tortoise?

It looks like a hybrid Everglades pythonator managed to breed with a sea turtle and one of the offspring followed its nose to North Carolina. Life keeps getting curiouser and curiouser.

Turtle, tortiose, I don't know the difference.

Looks like a rogue tortoise has made its way across from the Galapagos Islands.....

Yeah, I've heard of them doing that before.

Offhand it looks like the head of a gopher tortoise, unless you are fibbing and took the picture at a zoo.
