Unusual cephalotus propagation

I ran across an article on ceph propagation and was wondering if anyones tried putting a hole in the media near there ceph about 3 inches down to try and get a secondary rhizome to form?

I was thinking of trying this when I got home, but my ceph is pretty small so I figured i'd ask first.

i was thinking the same thing,
seeing how they send up runners from the rhizome.
my thought was , why not make a mote around the soil of my plant and see if it would send up a baby plant ...

mines a bit small too.
so i might wait untill it gets bigger.

good luck if you do try!!!!!

I'm gonna try it for giggles. Can't hurt. I'm just gonna stick a pencil in an inch away from the plant 3" down and see if anything happens.

I'll let you guys know if anything pops up.

I especially would be interested if you came up with an extra plant! (hint, hint)!!
