Uh Oh

[Flytrap dude]

Help, the traps on my 3 year old venus flytraps are turning black before they even begin to form!  The traps are way under-sized too!

  What should I do?!

Again may need more info. Sounds like you put the vft in dormancy but the plant maybe rotting. I had that problem when my vfts would come out of dormancy. I tend to let the vft take the water it needs until you have a dry tray. Then water water once a week with little bit of water. After a month go back to normal water methods.
