Two plants one purchase? H.Tatei and ?

Ok I purchased a h.tatei mid last year and all of a sudden a few weeks ago It started shooting up something that looks very different from what was there before. Is this the same plant? Or do I have two here? If this is in fact two plants, should I separate them?

In the picture the first plant form was the smaller and the new one is the the taller.

nothing wrong...your plant is just transitioning from baby plant leaves to adult plant leaves....
