Once it starts to make uppers the 8 loops in the peristomes should show up

I would keep that plant a little wetter, Lance. Also, a mix containing peat may not be the best thing for this plant.

I just put it in the water pan a few minutes ago and the top layer is peat to encourage sphagnum growth.
