Trevor's Summer CP Getaway - PICTURES!

Looks like those 2 lights are doing their job
Very nice plants

Nice pics of the D. adelae flowers. You're gonna make TommyR jealous!

Nice pics of the D. adelae flowers.

I can't get the stupid things to stop flowering. I kept chopping them off, and then I just gave up. They'll do what they want to.

My Adelae is almost dead : ( I've heard some people just have real trouble growing them. I had mine outside, and it started to decline, and then I put it in my terrarium and it just declined even more!! So ya now its back outside and just barely surviving...o well. Anyways, your Adelaes are awesome!! Also, is there enough humidity just out in the open for some of those Neps?

CPEnthusiast -- Try growing your Adelae in a windowsill. Outside might be too sunny for them. As you can see from the picture, I keep them just outside of the beam from the lights, and they are doing great! They don't like it super bright or super hot/humid.

Also, I am a firm believer that most Nepenthes do not require high humidity to thrive once they get acclimated. Actually, I don't like terrariums at all. Not that my setup is super, but I think terrariums defeat the purpose of growing these plants. You can't really see them then, it's like viewing them at a museum. So far, all of them have been doing great, and I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary of my first one. (Not that long, I know :-()
